Erratics
Erratics, a series of sculptural furniture works, takes its namesake from geologic terminology used to define chunks of rock encased in glaciers. As the glaciers move, these rocks fall away depositing themselves in places outside their native context. These works use pieces of scrap material–elevating the incidental – to make objects. These pieces, like the glacial erratics, exist as small disruptions and discontinuities in furniture’s expected, formal flow.
