Tracings





During the production of the Saguaro pieces, the wood molds catch fire, and are left with charred surfaces. These drawings are made from moving the burnt molds over paper, the last gesture of the process, from mold creation, through the glass blowing process, to the mark left.

The marks, in combination with the molds and the glass pieces themselves, show a complete ecology and entropy that is inherent in process, both human and material.
